artist statement
Vanessa Neuber immerses herself in a variety of artistic forms. As well as being a visual artist, she is a designer, illustrator, teacher, poet, Reiki master, agent of harmony and messenger who declares art to be an omnipresent gift. With a degree in design, a postgraduate degree in art history and also in analytical psychology with an emphasis on mythology, tales and the arts, she explores art as a path to self-knowledge, building bridges between word and image, between the oneiric universe and the mundane everyday life. Neuber is the creator of Sensitive Collage, a creative and therapeutic experience that has already had more than 30 editions in different cities in Brazil. Her fascination with the mysterious and the inexplicable permeates all her artistic production, materialized in the form of assemblages, installations, videos and artist's books that present themselves as images of the unconscious, inviting the viewer to reflect on the invisible and the unnameable. Her work has been shown at biennal, solo and group exhibitions, art markets and independent publications. Currently based in Berlin, she continues to write her story across Europe.
