artist statement
A harmony agent and messenger who declares art as an omnipresent gift, I dive into multiple creative dimensions. Born and raised in a Brazilian city on the banks of the Itajaí-Açu River, I went through a process of metanoia that carried me to Berlin. With a background in design, art history, and analytical psychology - with an emphasis on mythology, tales and arts - I explore creation as a path to self-knowledge, building bridges between word and image, the visible and the hidden, the dreamlike and the everyday. My interdisciplinary practice unfolds through collage, installation, artist’s books, painting, poetry, and video. I work with discarded or unconventional materials, transforming the ordinary into symbol and the ephemeral into tangible matter, creating experiences that evoke reflections on beauty, belonging, and impermanence. My artistic research engages in dialogue with philosophy, psychology, quantum physics, mythology, astrology, mindfulness, sustainability, migration, and feminism. Through my creative process, I seek to exercise transmutation - where the banal reveals poetic power and invites the gaze to reinvent itself. Fascinated by mystery and unanswered questions, I aim to unsettle certainties and imagine new worlds, inviting the audience to experience art as a living matter: vital, necessary, and transformative.
