artist statement
An agent of harmony and a messenger who declares art as an omnipresent gift, I immerse myself in multiple creative disciplines. Born and raised in a Brazilian city on the banks of the Itajaí-Açu River, I underwent a process of metanoia that ultimately brought me to Berlin.
With a background in design, art history, and analytical psychology, I explore artistic creation as a path toward self-knowledge, building bridges between word and image, the visible and the hidden, the dreamlike universe and everyday life.
My interdisciplinary practice unfolds through collage, installation, artist books, painting, poetry, and video. I work with discarded or unconventional materials to transform the ordinary into symbol and the ephemeral into tangible matter, proposing experiences that evoke reflections on beauty, belonging, and finitude. Through my creative process, I seek to exercise transmutation, where the banal reveals poetic potency and invites perception to reinvent itself.
My artistic investigation engages with themes related to philosophy, quantum physics, mythology, mindfulness, sustainability, migration, and feminism, creating connections between sensory experience, the collective unconscious, and social transformation.
Fascinated by mystery and unanswered questions, I seek to destabilize certainties and create new imaginaries, inviting the public to experience art as a pulsating matter: necessary and transformative.
